In order to increase the operational possibilities of machining in the production of valves and fittings, MIV acquired the modern 5-axis machining center for turning and milling Heller CP 8000, which enables complete machining of products with a diameter of up to 1400 mm.
Colleagues from MIV foundry were active participants of International MAGMA User meeting held in Munich. New exciting developments can be expected with the upcoming release of Magmasoft 6 software we use for casting simulations at our foundry.
We had a great factory visit from our colleagues from Hawle Kft. with their Hungarian partners and key customers. They had unique opportunity to get a better understanding of MIV production processess and see first hand how high quality products are produced at MIV.
With the support of the local fire brigade, we have successfully managed flow tests according to EN 14384 standard for our client in Greece. Tests were performed using fire trucks to determine flow coefficient Kv. Test was performed by pumping the water through the pillar hydrant and measuring the pressure on the inlet and the outlet.
